Classes
We started from Nursery to Class IV in the year 1998 and then in year 2008, we got affiliation from CBSE for Secondary Level. The School is now from Nursery to Class X
NURSERY
This class running with the view that tender seedlings require all type of nourishment and quality handling and enjoyment to develop into a new and healthy plant.
KINDERGARTEN
This system has two divisions (i) Lower Kindergarten and (ii) Upper Kindergarten. In these divisions small children learn the alphabetical orders, numerical, formation of simple words
GROUP ACTIVITIES
To encourage the students in different activities, the students of class I and above are divided into four different group viz. BLUE STAR, ROSE, LOTUS and ORCHID.
Brief Annual Report 2012
As like every year this year too Puspanjali Vidyalaya, Pakyong, East Sikkim, completed its admission of the students in different classes and the distribution of school books to all the students, well in time.
The school re-opened with new enthusiasm and vitality on 16th Feb-2012, after around two months winter vacation. Slowly the students were brought to the teaching learning track and the normal school routine began to function from the 1st day itself.
On 5th march-2012 school celebrated its 14th foundation day in the school campus. A brief history of the development of school to this level was presented by the school principal in his speech. All the class toppers (1st, 2nd and 3rd) from LKG – IX were awarded with beautiful prizes and mementos. Besides, the students having 100% attendance, best orator assembly speech, Best Student of the year-2011 were also presented with beautiful prizes and certificates.
The 10 school prefects in different discipline participated with a escort teacher in the young leaders conclave, organized by 24 hours inspired, a Bangalore based company dedicated to inspire the young students. The Conclave was held at the premises of Mt. Zion School, Tadong, Gangtok. This school also participated in the State Level Interschool Bournvita Quiz Contest on the month of September, 2012, held at St. Xavier’s School and was able to secure the 3rd place.
School participated in the Sub-Divisional Level School March-past competition on Independence Day celebration programme and also occupied the 3rd place. Besides, it also gave its active participation in the Sr. Open Football tournament. Where, the girls managed to reach to the finals and remain as runners up.
Besides, the Intergroup (House) Cricket, Jr. Football, girls football, volleyball, chess, Table Tennis, basketball and badminton tournaments were organized in school in the competitive manner.
In the literary activities, the school organized the intergroup – Debate, Elocution, Ex-tempore competitions among the students. In the culture field, the intergroup Dance, song, skit and other programmes like recitation of poems etc were also organized in school to inculcate the latent talent among the students.
In the Sub-Divisional Level inter school Debate competition organized by Sikkim Prativa Pratisthan, Pakyong, and the school participants won both the winner and the runner up (as it was organized in new format) challenge cup and made the record.
In the academic section, since affiliation, school is producing the 100% result in the class X CBSE Examination. This year too all the students passed with the minimum of 60% and the maximum of 98% of marks, it is regarded as the remarkable result in the State.
In the home examination too students produced 96% pass percentage in the annual examination held in November – December-2012.
The school celebrated its Annual Function Cum Gandhi Jayanti on 2nd Oct, 2012 in a very grand manner. Shri Dhurba Lohagan (renowned writer) was invited as the Chief Guest for the day. The hall was full of invited guest, well wishers, parents and the local people.
The Quiz Competition, the group patriotic song and the Debate competition were the main attention of the programme. All the winners of the intergroup events and competitions were presented with the prizes and certificates by the principal and the chief guest.
Finally, the Annual Examination was held on 20th to 30th of November and the final results were distributed to the students on 12th December. Then the school was closed for winter vacation.
